Opnx is designed to be accessible to everyone, from your first experiment to a high-traffic DApp. Our Credit and Quota system provides a transparent and flexible way to manage your resource consumption.

How It Works

All actions that consume resources on the Opnx platform—such as API calls, RPC requests, and data hosting for your deployed DApp—are measured against your Quota. Think of Quota as the fuel for your application. As your DApp is used, it consumes Quota.

Initial Free Credits

To ensure you can build and launch your first project without any financial commitment, every new developer is given $5 worth of free credits.

This initial credit is automatically converted into Quota and is more than enough to build, deploy, and run a small-to-medium traffic DApp. It allows you to test your ideas on a live network and confirm that Opnx is the right platform for you.

Understanding Quota

It is important to understand the two types of Quota on Opnx:

1. Total Quota (Usage Volume) This is the total amount of resources you can consume. Each API or RPC call your DApp makes will deduct a small amount from your Total Quota. When this balance runs low, you will need to add more to keep your application running.

   • How to increase it: Purchase more with $OPNX tokens.

2. Hourly Quota (Rate Limit) This is the maximum number of calls your application can make per hour. It ensures stability and predictable performance. All users start on the default tier with a generous rate limit.

   • Default Rate Limit: 250 calls/hour.

   • How to increase it: Stake $OPNX tokens to upgrade your Tier (explained in the next section).

Topping Up Quota with $OPNX

When your free credits are used up or you need to handle more traffic, you can easily add to your Total Quota using $OPNX tokens. Our system is pre-paid, meaning you are always in control of your spending with no surprise bills.

To top up:

1. Navigate to the "Billing" or "Quota" section of your Opnx dashboard.

2. Select the amount of Quota you wish to purchase.

3. Complete the transaction using $OPNX tokens from your connected wallet.

Your new Quota will be reflected in your account instantly, ensuring your applications continue to run smoothly.
